Can you use a Prismana Orb on any Aniimo?

The orb is the last step, not the first. It performs a transformation you already own the rights to, which means pointing one at an Aniimo whose Prismana form you have never obtained does nothing. There is no form there for the orb to apply.

That is worth understanding before you start hoarding orbs as a way to make any creature you like shiny. The Prismana of a species is an exceptionally rare, radiant version of that species at its Nova stage, with a modified 3D model and an alternate colour palette. It is tied to the species, so the orb is the delivery mechanism for a form you acquired elsewhere rather than a general upgrade item.

In practice, the planning happens on the acquisition side. Work out which Prismana forms you can actually get hold of, and treat the orbs as what you spend once one of them lands.

Where Prismana forms come from

Nurturing is one route to Prismana Aniimo. How central that route is has not settled: it behaves as the main way to get them in some descriptions of the system and as one option among others in others, so do not build your whole plan around it yet.

Some Prismana forms are gated outside that system entirely. Prismana Fulmintis is exclusive to the paid track of the Battle Pass, so no amount of orbs will give you one if you have not bought that track. It is a useful example of the general shape of the restriction: the orb never substitutes for the unlock, whatever the unlock happens to cost.

Not settled: How much the Prismana form is actually worth is unsettled. It is described both as a purely cosmetic variant and as an empowered form that differs in more than looks, so whether chasing an unlock is a collector's goal or a competitive one is not yet clear.
