• Survival is the main objective and top priority in an Egg Heist run.

• The number of eggs in an Egg Heist run, found in egg nests in the sanctum ruins, is unsettled: it is given as at least one with some runs holding two, as up to three, and as one to three, while some runs are also said to contain no findable eggs at all.
• In Egg Heist, extraction means making the vulnerable trip back to an escape boat, where a Pathfinder can extract safely and individually, without waiting for the rest of the team, once one personal objective is complete, either personally submitting one Aniimo Egg or personally collecting a set number of Eggshell Coins, an amount that is not published and was significantly reduced in the February 4 update.
• Operation Egg Heist features additional egg varieties.
• Egg Heist rewards players as they progress through a run, awarding flames and shards.
• Egg Heist matches begin at the beach area beside the boats.
• Operation: Egg Heist, also known as PvP Egg Heist, Diamond Egg Heist, Diamond Egg Theft or Diamond Egg Stealing, is an end-game multiplayer egg extraction mode introduced in the third beta in which players search for resources and exclusive Aniimo eggs while fighting wild creatures, and its format is unsettled: it is given as a competitive PvPvE mode mixing PvE and PvP, as a competitive mode in which teams race to collect eggs, as a PvP-only variant played in teams of three, as a real-time PvEvP mode in the Lost Isles where three-player teams battle monsters and other players to gather and extract eggs and resources, as an objective-holding match between two teams, as a team-versus-team PvP match pitting six three-player teams against each other over a single objective, and as a dedicated PvE-only cooperative mode with no PvP combat.
• The PvE mode of Operation Egg Heist can be played solo or in co-op as a two-player team, with matchmaking available alone or as a group, and it can be completed solo on both normal and hard mode.
• Dark forms of Aniimo, including Darklers and the Umbrabow form, are obtained exclusively through Egg Heist, where accumulated currency can also be exchanged for an Umbrabow egg.
• In Egg Heist, teams compete to dig out rare eggs from nests at fixed spawn positions inside the sanctum ruins, only in specific room types such as large rooms and locked key rooms. Each position has only a chance of holding an egg, higher-chance positions are more likely to hold one, and in a Chaos run almost no eggs lie in the open, so they are found essentially only in the locked key rooms.

• Eggs are dug out of nests by interacting and repeatedly pressing the on-screen dig button.
• Carried weight lowers stamina recovery, and dropping heavy items lets stamina recover faster.
• Aniimo eggs can be obtained in the game, and there are four main ways to get them.
• The longer an Aniimo stays on an expedition, the more likely it is to return with an egg of its own family, and a six-hour trip is enough to get an egg back.
• Carrying or transforming into an egg allows a dash maneuver that is subject to a cooldown.
• While carrying an egg the player uses a dedicated movement set: the egg can roll quickly, dash or sprint, and jump.
• Not every Aniimo can bring back eggs from RV trips: starter Aniimo and Somniwing cannot, while Sparkelf can be sent out to gather eggs.
• Fulmintis can be obtained from eggs, including by farming RV trips.
• Players receive one free nurture charge daily and can perform nurturing up to three times consecutively.
• Capture chance can be improved by approaching an Aniimo without alerting it, as well as by placing traps, choosing good positioning, and taking advantage of the environment.
• An Aniimo trip (travel spirit expedition) lasts 6 hours.
