How do you use a Prismana Orb?

The unlock condition is the whole shape of the item. An orb does not discover a Prismana form for you, and it will not conjure one for a species you have never seen in that state. It re-applies something you already have on record. Hold a stack of orbs with nothing unlocked and you hold nothing useful.

Eligibility is the other half. Prismana is a variant of a Nova-stage Aniimo of the same species, so the creature you point the orb at has to be one that has a Prismana form at all. Breezy Plains Aniimo are among the ones that work, so the starting region is where most players will first have a target worth spending on.

Getting the form unlocked in the first place

Nurturing produces Prismana Aniimo. How central it is to the process is not settled: in some builds it reads as the main route to a Prismana, in others as one option among several.

There is also a guaranteed one. Reaching the rank of Junior Wayfarer, called Junior Excursionist in some builds, hands you a choice of a free Prismana Aniimo. That is the cleanest early path to owning one, and the pick is worth thinking about, because the choice is yours rather than a roll.

What the transformation actually changes

A Prismana is an exceptionally rare radiant variant. It carries a modified 3D model and an alternate color palette, so the change is visible the moment it lands.

How deep it goes is not settled. It behaves as a purely visual variant in some builds and as an empowered form that differs in more than appearance in others. Until that is pinned down, treat an orb as a cosmetic swap you can count on and a power upgrade you cannot.

Not settled: It is not stated whether the free Prismana granted at Junior Wayfarer counts as unlocking that species' form for later orb use, or whether each Aniimo you want transformed has its own unlock to clear.
