How many Aniimo are catchable at launch?

That count is of basic forms: the creatures you actually encounter and catch out in the world. Think of it as the size of the pool you are hunting in rather than the number of entries your collection can end up holding.

Catching is also not the only route a creature takes into your box. Several arrive free around launch, which is worth knowing before you plan how much effort to put into hunting anything in particular during the first days.

Creatures you get without catching one

Logging in each day during the pre-launch event hands you three eggs to incubate, so part of your early roster hatches rather than gets caught. A free rare Prismana Aniimo comes as a launch reward, and Sparkling Cubes go out free to players globally.

Storage is the other half of a collection this size. The Advanced tier companion pass adds five more Aniimo storage boxes, which is the thing that starts to matter once you are holding duplicates of the same basic form instead of one of each.
