How much do character outfits cost?

Three tiers is the whole ladder, so the spread between the cheapest outfit and the dearest one is narrow. Budgeting is a question of how many outfits you want, not of picking your moment on some sliding scale. Aniimo has its own character creation and customization system underneath all this, and shop outfits sit on top of that rather than replacing it.

The currency name was not settled during the closed beta. It turned up as Lumines as well as Lumen. The tier numbers themselves did not move, so if a build in front of you labels the wallet differently, the 680, 980 and 1,280 price points are still the ones to expect.

What else competes for the same wallet

Outfits are not the only thing premium currency goes toward. Sparkling Cubes cost 1,500 Glimmer or premium currency, and the premium route runs through buying 100 Sparkling Crystals and exchanging them at Outpost vendors. That is a functional purchase rather than a cosmetic one, so it eats into the same balance you were saving for a costume.

Real money enters elsewhere too. Optional pre-order bundles are priced at $9.99 and $19.99, with the Advanced Edition package at $9.99. The monthly pass pays currency out across a 30-day period rather than up front, and how much it pays is not settled yet: it has shown up as 3,000 Glimmer, as 300 premium currency, and as 330 Lumen crystals. In the Lumen form, a single month of it lands under even the lowest outfit tier.

Not settled: Because the monthly pass payout is still moving between builds, there is no reliable answer yet to how many months of it fund a 680 Lumen outfit.
