What are Aniipods used for?

Every capture attempt expends a pod from your inventory. Higher tiers provide increased base capture rates, making them vital when targeting stronger creatures. While standard pods handle regular encounters, Alpha Aniimo bosses cannot be captured mid-fight. They must be fought and defeated first before any pod can be thrown at them, and their baseline catch rates remain low.

Ultra Pods remove that catch calculation entirely. An Aniipod Ultra grants a guaranteed 100% capture rate on any creature, including defeated Alpha Aniimo. Unique story encounters require dedicated gear instead: the legendary Aniimo Irisalis is captured by crafting a Legendary Aniipod from legendary tokens and throwing it after winning its scripted battle.

Area Captures with Tumbler Pods

Tumbler Pods provide an area-of-effect option rather than locking onto a single creature. These craftable pods allow you to catch multiple wild Aniimo in a single throw.

They grant a 3× capture-rate multiplier on Aniimo gathered through Nurture, and that multiplier can rise to 6× in high-density spawns. Any capture attempt with a pod also carries a chance to trigger a Lucky Strike event.

Crafting and Converting Pods

Standard Aniipods can be farmed infinitely. You can craft basic pods through Homeland systems using mined shells, or let assigned Aniimo staff Homeland facilities to produce pods passively over time, even while you are offline.

Lower-tier pods do not become obsolete once you reach tougher zones. You can trade them to a merchant at a two-to-one exchange ratio to convert lower tiers into higher-tier pods. Higher-tier pods can also be purchased directly using Glimmer.

Not settled: The maximum 6× multiplier for Tumbler Pods in high-density spawns is build-dependent and not settled yet.
