Are there puzzles in the open world?

Most of what you run into is physics-based rather than riddle-based. Things have weight, things fall, and the solution is usually about putting an object where it belongs. One recurring type is a structure with its centre piece missing, and your job is to find the piece and put it back.

The important part is that your team is the tool. Certain Aniimo forms and abilities interact directly with world objects, which means a puzzle you cannot touch is often a puzzle you do not currently have the right creature for. Getting stuck is worth reading as a hint rather than a wall. Come back with a different Aniimo and the same obstacle can become simple.

You can also place and use certain interactive furniture items directly in the open world, so the line between scenery and things you can move is blurrier than it looks. Before assuming a puzzle needs a specific ability, check what you are carrying.
