Are there environmental puzzles in Aniimo?

The open world features physics-based environmental puzzles, including replacing missing center pieces.

◇verified at launch · Sept 2026

Physics-based means the solving happens in the world rather than through a prompt. You are moving things and letting them behave like things. The missing center piece is the clearest shape of it: something has been taken out of a structure, and the puzzle is finding what fits and getting it back into place. These sit out in the open world, so you meet them while travelling rather than by entering a dedicated puzzle area.

Your Aniimo are the tools. Certain forms and abilities can interact directly with world objects, which means the puzzle in front of you is partly a question of what you brought. Twining into an Aniimo extends that. Taking the form yourself lets you bypass exploration obstacles, work through environmental puzzles, and get into areas you have no other route into.

The practical upshot is that a puzzle you cannot crack is often not a logic problem. It is a roster problem. If nothing you have interacts with the object in a useful way, note where it is and come back once you have an Aniimo whose abilities suit it.

Not settled: Beyond the access itself, what a solved puzzle actually hands you is not pinned down at this stage.
