Guides › Does potential grade matter? Perfect vs Elite stats
Can two Aniimo of the same species differ from each other?
Two Aniimo of the same species, even perfect ones, can differ from each other, varying in their stat distributions, potential ratings, and traits.
Every wild catch rolls its own potential, stat distributions, traits, and personality.
Catching duplicates of the same species is standard practice because innate potential is fixed at the moment of capture. Two creatures of identical species will sit at different power ceilings across the four potential grades: Common, Good, Elite, and Perfect. Higher potential ratings deliver higher baseline stats and larger attribute increases when leveling up, directly affecting combat capability.
Even reaching the highest tier does not produce identical Aniimo. Two Perfect specimens of the same species will still diverge in how their individual stats are distributed, alongside having distinct traits and abilities.
Checking duplicates before release
Because duplicates vary in value, evaluate every catch at the research console before transferring or releasing it for Credits. Check an Aniimo for its potential grade, traits, personality, Alpha status, and special or weather forms before clearing storage space.
Auto-release protects shiny and Sparkling catches automatically. It does not protect high-potential rolls, alternate forms, or evolutions needed for split evolutionary lines and the homestead, which must be locked or starred manually.
