Can you dodge while Twined?

Twining lets the player move and dodge as their Aniimo in real time, which is needed to evade specific attacks and area-of-effect abilities.

The evasive maneuver you receive depends on the specific Aniimo you enter. Pressing C initiates entwining, which gives you direct control along with the creature's basic attack, two energy-consuming active skills, and its unique evasive move.

Dodging in Twine mode draws on Prime Energy, which serves as the stamina system in combat. Real-time movement includes sprinting, dashing, and dodging, which run on that stamina bar while you reposition and aim abilities manually.

Avoiding Area Attacks

Switching into Twine mode is required for specific encounters. In Command mode, the Pathfinder remains on the field directing tactical orders and abilities while the Aniimo fights automatically, which leaves the creature exposed to heavy incoming patterns.

Certain enemy attacks and area-of-effect mechanics cannot be survived without manual evasion. Taking direct control lets you trigger the creature's evasive maneuver to escape telegraphs that automatic positioning will not clear.
