Do Aniimo have Homeland work specialties?

Each Aniimo species has a specific work specialty and distinct abilities for base tasks.

That makes your catch list a production decision, not just a combat one. What your base can make depends on which species you actually own, so a roster stacked with one kind of creature leaves holes in what the Homeland can cover. When you catch something new, you are also filling a job.

The Homeland itself is a solo base-building feature with a farming system, and assigned Aniimo produce resources passively while you do something else. Production runs on real-world time and keeps going while you are away, so a good assignment earns for hours you are not playing. The practical habit is to sort out who is working before you log off, not after you log in.

Assignments are worth revisiting rather than setting once. Every species brings its own homeland abilities to base production tasks, so replacing a placed Aniimo with one better suited to that job changes output without any other investment from you.

Work outside the Homeland

Base tasks are not the only labour on offer. Aniimo also work as laborers in the RV factory, which means the same creature can be pulled between two production systems and you have to decide where it is more useful.

Separately, each Aniimo has unique out-of-combat abilities that change how you interact with the world. A species can earn a spot on your team for what it does in the field rather than for what it produces at the base, and those are different judgements.

Not settled: Whether an Aniimo can be assigned to a task outside its specialty at reduced output, or is simply locked out of it, is not settled.
