GuidesHow Twining Works

Do Aniimo have unique abilities?

Each Aniimo has its own distinct abilities, including unique out-of-combat abilities that change how the player interacts with the world.

Aug 2026

Twining into an Aniimo transfers its movement style, body, powers, and abilities directly to your character. Instead of issuing commands from the sidelines, you transform into the creature to navigate the environment and solve puzzles.

Every Aniimo supplies a specific physical traversal method. Depending on which creature you choose to merge with, you gain abilities such as sprinting, climbing vertical walls, swimming, diving, gliding, flying, or burrowing underground.

Exploration and Traversal

Outside of combat, your movement options change entirely based on the Aniimo you activate. Burrowing opens routes beneath obstacles, while gliding and flying let you cross large gaps or scale terrain that human movement cannot reach. Swimming and diving permit travel through water.

Cosmetic head pets stay visible on your character even while transformed into an Aniimo. If you twine with an egg, you physically transform into the egg itself. When enemies appear, you can untwine from the egg to fight and retwine once the encounter ends.

Combat Abilities and Active Skills

In battle, Aniimo abilities split between two playstyles. Entering Twine mode lets you take direct control of the creature, fighting with its individual attacks and dodging in real time. Starter Aniimo possess an additional combat transformation form, such as Helion turning into Soleon.

Staying in human form shifts you into Command mode, where the Aniimo fights alongside you instead of merging. While untwined, you support the creature using human active skills, including a healing ability that restores a targeted Aniimo's HP.
