Do Umbra Aniimo have guaranteed perfect potential?

Catching or hatching one skips the upgrade path that Elite Aniimo usually face. Only Elite creatures showing a sparkling potential aura can normally be promoted to Perfect, but an Umbra Aniimo enters your roster at that top grade immediately.

Every Aniimo has six attributes: HP, Attack, Physical Defense, Regen, Magic Defense, and Break. A Perfect grade means higher stat gains on every level-up than Common, Good, or Elite tiers offer. Higher starting innate potential also reduces the total Astranite cost required to max out any attribute later, which is why min-maxing centers on this tier.

Stat Variations and Crowning

A guaranteed Perfect grade does not produce identical stats. Two Umbra Aniimo of the exact same species can roll different stat spreads and traits. You will still need to appraise them at the Research Outpost after capture to reveal their individual numbers and typing.

Each attribute combines innate potential with acquired potential up to a hard cap of 20. Innate potential rolls naturally up to 9, while 10 is the absolute cap and requires special items like fruits. Each creature also has two priority attributes marked with a thumbs up icon. Pushing those attributes to their maximum potential marks them with a crown icon, known among players as crowning or double crowning.
