How do you track Lumin Amber?

Amber markers only appear when the world map is zoomed all the way in, so an empty map at normal zoom does not mean the region is cleared. The filter shows uncollected Amber only, which turns it into a running checklist: anything still marked is something you have not picked up yet.

The Amber-only view is the cleanest setup. It hides every icon except Lumin Amber and Lumin Markings. Chests sit next to Amber in the same filter list and have their own highlight option, so you can turn both on when sweeping an area and turn chests off when the map gets crowded. Once you are close, the nearby alert and the tracking keybind take over from the map.

How thorough you need to be depends on what you are saving for. Regional nurture needs 30 Lumin Amber, submitted at a Branch that has reached level 30. The path to secret Alpha boss locations such as the Alpha Geoclaw needs 120. Not all Amber is lying in the open. It also comes from environmental puzzles, overworld mini-games and Sanctums, and from catching Lumin Amber-blessed Aniimo.
