How do Aniimo evolve?

In play this means levelling is the main lever you have. Keep an Aniimo in your party, bring it up to its designated level, and the change fires on its own. There is nothing to buy and no item to hunt down for the ordinary case.

The change is a model swap, not just a stat line moving. The creature you have been running around with looks different afterwards, which makes evolution the clearest visual marker of progress you get on a single Aniimo.

Levels are the primary route, but they are not the only one. Some Aniimo need a special condition met on top of the level, and some lines split rather than running straight.

Evolutions that need more than a level

Certain Aniimo only evolve when they are traded to another player. That takes the evolution out of your hands as a solo goal: you need someone to trade with, and you need them to trade back if you want to keep the creature.

Others gate on the Aniimo itself. Skippy evolves into Glacie, and the Aniimo has to be female for it to happen. A male Skippy at the same level will not change.

Branching lines

Some evolutions follow branching paths, so two players raising the same species can end up with different forms.

Emberpup is the clearest case, and its line is not settled. It is identified as evolving into Infernal Lupa, and it is also identified as evolving into Flameruff on a line that continues to Scorchhowl, sometimes written as Scorch Howl. Treat the outcome as open until you have raised one yourself.

Not settled: Emberpup's line is the specific unknown here. Whether Infernal Lupa and the Flameruff to Scorchhowl chain are two branches of one line, or one of them is simply out of date, is not resolved.
