Guides › Aniimo early journey: starters, traversal and Egg Heist
How does beginner protection work?
Beginner protection is active at lower ranks and prevents players from losing backpacks and loot upon death for their first three Egg Heist matches.
After three matches, dying in Egg Heist costs you your backpack and all unslotted loot.
Failing to extract normally causes the loss of carried inventory, unprotected gear, equipped backpacks, and non-safe pocket inventory items. During protected runs, defeat leaves both your equipped and gathered items intact.
These free attempts allow new players to learn the extraction layout, fight encounters, and test survival routes without forfeiting resources. Any keys intended for use during the run still must be placed into your character inventory or backpack before entering Egg Heist.
The safeguard is active only at lower ranks. Once you advance beyond lower ranks or complete your three matches, standard death penalties apply.
