How many Aniimo can be on an active team?

An active combat team in Aniimo holds up to four Aniimo, the main starter plus three others, which the player can swap between during combat, with any remaining creatures kept in a box system.

Your loadout divides those slots into one primary active Aniimo and up to three support Aniimo. In combat, you switch between party members to cycle cooldown-based skills and execute planned rotations. Active abilities draw from a shared energy pool, so swapping between creatures is necessary to avoid draining your pool by spamming a single set of moves.

Elemental Coverage and Roles

Aniimo features nine elements: light, fire, ice, dark, lightning, grass, water, earth, and wind. With only four slots available, your team cannot cover every match. Elemental advantage significantly affects combat performance, as attacking into a disadvantage inflicts greatly reduced damage while receiving hits at a disadvantage causes double damage. Team balance also dictates how efficiently you handle defenses. Including a creature built for the break role allows you to deplete an opponent's gray break meter faster. Once that gauge is empty, the enemy enters a staggered state that lowers its defenses and opens it up to bonus damage.
