How much extra damage do broken enemies take?
Depleting an enemy's break bar stuns it and opens a damage window, lasting until the break meter regenerates, in which it takes greatly increased damage, given as 250% for bosses, making Break the largest single damage multiplier in the game.
The stagger window opens an opportunity for the party to land an Ultimate attack. Depleting the gray bar beneath an enemy health bar removes its defensive stance completely, leaving the target stunned while defenses drop.
DPS Aniimo deal their amplified damage during this vulnerability period. All incoming party strikes benefit from the multiplier, making it the most effective phase to land heavy offensive skills before the break meter regenerates.
Wild Aniimo capture bonus
Depleting the break gauge on a wild Aniimo also changes capture mechanics. Weakening and breaking a wild target raises the capture success rate above 90 percent, letting you secure difficult creatures that resist standard capture attempts.
