Guides › How to assign Aniimo workers in the Homeland
What do hauler Aniimo do in the Homeland?
Hauler Aniimo move between Homeland areas as needed, carrying picked-up items to the nearest storage unit.
The trip length is set by where your storage sits, so storage placement sets how fast your Homeland works. A hauler walks to the closest storage unit every time, so a box far from your fields or crafting stations means long round trips and slower turnover.
Hauling is a work-type ability. An Aniimo either has it or it doesn't, and it sits alongside whatever main job that creature does. Haulers with a main station work it first. When they aren't busy there, they carry stockpiled produce from your facilities to home storage. Without hauling, harvested crops and finished goods pile up at the facility that made them.
Where to put storage for haulers
Put a storage unit in the middle of each production area, or right beside it: crop fields, resource plots and crafting stations. Every hauler then has a short trip to the nearest box, and items reach storage sooner. One central storehouse far from everything makes each delivery a long walk.
What a hauler costs you
Worker automation unlocks when the Homeland RV reaches level 2, so haulers only start working after that. Any Aniimo working in the Homeland is off your battle roster and out of the open world until you take it off the job. In exchange, haulers keep moving goods while you are AFK or offline, along with the rest of your staffed facilities.
