Guides › Appraising catches: Unappraised potential and duplicates
What do outpost research consoles do?
Outpost camps feature research consoles used to appraise and evaluate the potential ratings and stats of captured Aniimo.
Appraisal reveals where a catch falls across Common, Good, Elite, and Perfect grades.
These tiers dictate your creature's stat growth ceiling and baseline attributes. Because innate potential is rolled and fixed at the moment of capture, checking catches at an outpost terminal tells you immediately whether a duplicate is worth keeping and training for combat.
Beyond evaluation, the console serves as your main station for inventory cleanup. You can analyze and release or transfer Aniimo individually or in bulk to free up storage space. Marking a prized creature with a star locks it against accidental transfer or release.
Batch releasing and protecting rare forms
Bulk releasing automatically protects shiny and Sparkling Aniimo from being discarded. The filter does not protect other special variants.
Before confirming a bulk release, check your catches manually for Alpha status, weather forms, homestead needs, and forms required for split evolutions. Those variants will be cleared out along with standard duplicates unless you review them first.
