Guides › Appraising catches: Unappraised potential and duplicates
How do you check a caught Aniimo's Potential?
A captured Aniimo's Potential grade, its Attribute Rank of Common, Good, Elite or Perfect, which sets its stat ceiling, stays hidden as "Unappraised" until the creature is submitted in a catch report at an Outpost's Research Console, which evaluates it.
Catches conceal their stats and types until you submit them at an Outpost console.
Accessing the console brings up Aniimo management, where submitting a catch report reveals the rolls your creature received upon capture. Because innate potential is fixed when an Aniimo is caught, evaluating duplicate catches at the console is the primary way to confirm which specimens have higher stat ceilings.
Once appraised, lock any high-grade finds immediately. Aniimo can be locked or marked with a star inside the console interface, keeping them safe from accidental transfers or bulk releases while you clean out your storage.
Reviewing Catches Before Releasing
The research console lets you analyze and release or transfer creatures individually or in bulk to free up storage space. Batch releasing and auto-release mechanics protect shiny and Sparkling Aniimo automatically. Auto-releasing catches without reviewing them can still discard special weather forms, alternate forms, and creatures needed for split evolutions or the homestead.
Before releasing duplicates, check each specimen for its potential grade alongside its Alpha status and visual form. A Perfect potential grade gives the creature the highest baseline stats upon capture and the largest stat increases when leveling up, making it the clear threshold to star and keep.
