What does Cornet's Air Superiority do?

Remaining airborne enhances Cornet's overall offensive effectiveness. To use the critical bonus reliably, you need consistent ways to shift into the Fly state during battle.

You can launch into flight using the Take Off ability. You can also hold the Skill button while casting either Scream Splitter or Lightning Splitter, which automatically places Cornet into the Fly state once the skill finishes.

Incoming Damage Penalty

The Fly state offers defensive utility alongside offense, but it introduces a strict vulnerability. Take Off allows Cornet to evade attacks from ground enemies. In exchange, Cornet takes increased damage while airborne.

Positioning matters when fighting enemies with aerial reach. Evading ground strikes keeps Cornet safe, but any attack that connects while in flight deals amplified damage.
