What to buy in the Glimmer and Cash Shop in Aniimo
Psychic Fruit costs 100 Glimmer and Capability Fruit costs 1,000, but you can get the Fruit free for 20 Potential Seeds. Here is what's worth your currency.
The short version
- Glimmer is free to earn from almost everything in the game, and daily tasks and events are the most efficient ways to farm it.
- Lumen Crystals can only be bought with real money, but no paid bundle or battle pass contains an exclusive gameplay item.
- Capability Fruit costs 1,000 Glimmer in the shop, but you can also trade 20 Potential Seeds for one, so think twice before paying Glimmer for it.
- Sparkling Cubes are bought with Glimmer from Joff at outposts or from the item exchange vendor at the headquarters. The exchange rate from Sparkling Crystals is not settled yet.
- The Monthly Pass lasts 30 days and grants 6,000 Companion EXP. Its exact price and currency payout are not settled and depend on your storefront.
Aniimo has two currencies you will spend in shops, and they work differently. Glimmer is earned through play. Lumen Crystals (the game also spells them Lumin Crystals) are the premium currency and cost real money.
The good news for anyone who does not want to pay: items and progression aids sold in the shop are not locked behind paid currency. Everything can be earned through normal gameplay. So the real question is where your Glimmer does the most work, and whether anything in the cash shop is worth money to you.
Where Glimmer and Lumen Crystals come from
Glimmer is a gem currency you earn for free, and it comes from nearly everything. Story progress, quests and missions, daily tasks, events, elite training, boss battles, chests, puzzles, branch activities, the battle pass and the Holo Battle Simulator all pay it out. Daily tasks and events are the most efficient to farm, so if you want a steady Glimmer income, clear those first.
Lumen Crystals are the other side. You can only get them with real money, through shop top-ups, the Monthly Pass and event bundles. They are sold in fixed amounts across six purchase tiers and spent in the in-game cash shop. Aniimo's microtransactions centre on this paid currency, on bundles and on cosmetics.
The key point: paid bundles and battle passes contain no exclusive gameplay items. Anything in them that affects play can be earned the normal way. Paying saves time. It does not buy you power you could not otherwise get.

What Glimmer buys in the shop
The Glimmer Shop carries a handful of items that are worth knowing the prices of.
Psychic Fruit costs 100 Glimmer and re-rolls an Aniimo's personality. It is the cheapest item on the list, and if you have a creature you like with a personality you do not, this is the purchase that fixes it.
Capability Fruit costs 1,000 Glimmer. The catch is that you can also get it free through regular gameplay, including by exchanging 20 Potential Seeds. If you have seeds sitting around, spend those instead and keep your Glimmer for things you cannot trade for.
A pack of 10 Glimmering Driftshadows costs 1,800 Glimmer.
Glimmer also buys Aniipod Ultra, the top tier of Aniimo's capture devices. And you can spend Glimmer a limited number of times each day to refill primagy energy for boss captures, which matters if you are pushing boss content and run dry.

Sparkling Cubes and the outpost vendors
Aniipod Ultras and Sparkling Cubes can both be had without spending real money by trading in-game currency with outpost vendors. For Sparkling Cubes specifically, you pay Glimmer to the vendor Joff at an outpost, under his item exchange menu, or to the item exchange vendor at the headquarters.
You can also exchange Sparkling Crystals for Sparkling Cubes at the Outpost Vendor. The exact rates here are not settled: one Sparkling Anipod is listed at both 1,000 and 100 Sparkling Crystals, and one Sparkling Cube at both 1,000 and 100 as well. Check the vendor in your own game before you plan around either figure.
If you would rather not spend at all, Sparkling Cubes also come from gameplay modes, the battle pass, elite training, handbooks and various shops.
The cash shop: bundles and outfits
Because nothing in the paid shop is exclusive to gameplay, what you are really buying with Lumen Crystals is convenience and cosmetics. A few current prices:
The Sparkling Collection bundle costs 1,680 Lumen Crystals.
The Radiant Wave Glow outfit set costs 980 Lumen Crystals.
The Laurel Moon Blessing pack costs 280 Lumen Crystals. It includes the Floral Moon Jukebox furniture item alongside the Laurel Lantern and Moonbound Journey accessories.
None of these will make your team stronger. Buy them if you want the look.
The Monthly Pass
The Monthly Pass is the cheapest recurring purchase and the one most players weigh up. It lasts 30 days and grants 6,000 Companion EXP (also called Travel EP), spread over those 30 days. It also gives bonus daily login rewards with 5 days of retroactive catch-up, so missing a few days does not cost you everything, plus extra battle pass experience.
Its currency payout is not settled. The Lumen Crystals granted the moment you buy it are listed as both 330 and 333. The full haul is described two ways: as that upfront grant plus 3,000 crystals spread across the 30 days, and as 3,000 Glimmer, 300 premium currency and 330 Lumen Crystals handed out daily.
The price is not fixed either. It is listed as both US$4.99 and US$5.00 depending on the storefront, and €5.99 on euro storefronts.

Where to start
Put your Glimmer into Psychic Fruit when a personality needs fixing, Sparkling Cubes from Joff or the headquarters vendor, and primagy refills when boss captures stall. Pay for Capability Fruit with Potential Seeds, not Glimmer. Only spend Lumen Crystals if you want cosmetics or want to save time, because nothing the cash shop sells is exclusive to it.
