The Companion Handbook Battle Pass
Aniimo's seasonal battle pass has a free track, a paid track, and a rule that catches people out: nothing you buy carries into the next cycle.
The short version

The Companion Handbook is Aniimo's battle pass. You will also see it called the Companion Guide, and both names refer to the same thing: a seasonal track of rewards that unlock gradually as you earn battle pass experience.
There are two versions of it. The standard edition gives you the free top track. The paid Advanced edition unlocks both tracks, which is where the bonus rewards live. Everything else about the Handbook follows from that split.
The one thing worth knowing before you spend anything: a Handbook belongs to the version you redeem it in. It does not roll forward.
Two tracks running side by side
Rewards unlock gradually as you earn battle pass experience. The pool covers cosmetics, journey-assisting items, and a unique Aniimo form, so it is not purely a vanity track.
With the standard edition, only the free top track pays out. Buy the optional Advanced edition and both tracks open, which means the same experience you were already earning starts unlocking two rows of rewards instead of one. What the Advanced edition costs and gives you
The Advanced Companion Handbook is the paid tier. It costs US$9.99, the price you will also see quoted as a round $10, and it grants access to the pass's premium reward track.
The headline reward is an exclusive Prismana Aniimo egg at level 10. The specific egg is not fixed: it varies across seasons and versions, so the Advanced track in one cycle is not the same prize as the Advanced track in the next. The premium track's reward list also includes a perfect-potential Prismana Aniimo egg, evolution materials, and other items. Evolution materials are the quiet part of that list. They feed work you are doing anyway.

Price of the Advanced Companion Handbook
It expires with the cycle
Purchasing a Companion Handbook grants access only to the reward track of the version in which it is redeemed. It does not carry over. If you want the paid track next cycle, you buy it again.
That makes each purchase a decision about one season rather than a subscription to the pass in general. It also means the level 10 egg is something you reach inside that cycle. There is no banked progress waiting for you when the next Handbook arrives.
Where a Handbook comes bundled
Two of the pre-order packs include one. The $9.99 Advanced Edition pack includes the Advanced Companion Guide. The Aniimo Pre-Order Pack: Collector's Edition, listed at $19.99 USD, includes the Collector's Companion Handbook. The paid battle pass pre-order tiers are priced at €9.99 and €23.99, alongside a free tier. The site's platforms and access guide goes into the packs themselves.
One thing to check before you buy twice: the monthly pass costs $4.99 and is a separate purchase from the Companion Handbook. Paying for it does not include a paid Companion Handbook track.
Where to start
Decide per season, not once. If a cycle's Advanced rewards look worth US$9.99 to you, buy it early enough to climb to level 10, and expect to make the same call again next time.
