Can Alpha Aniimo bosses be captured?
Alpha Aniimo area bosses cannot be captured mid-fight, but defeating one grants an opportunity to catch it, although catch rates are low.
Alpha captures cost Primegy and offer a base catch rate of only 8 to 12 percent.
Primegy regenerates over time and functions separately from your in-combat stamina bar. You can spend Glimmer a limited number of times each day to replenish Primegy specifically for boss captures.
Common cube-shaped Anipods average around a 10% chance per attempt on a defeated Alpha. An Alpha encounter such as Stellarys can be secured with lower-tier pods, but the outcome is unreliable. Using an Anipod Ultra changes the odds completely, granting a guaranteed 100% catch rate on any Alpha boss. High-tier pods should be saved for these encounters rather than spent on common wild spawns.
Uncatchable Boss Encounters
Not every major boss encounter gives you an opportunity to capture it after battle. Giant Aniimo units cannot be captured under any circumstances. Omega Aniimo are also completely uncatchable, leaving Alphas as the only high-tier boss encounters you can add to your roster.
