GuidesHow Pathfinder combat works in Aniimo

Can Battle Interlink modes use AI teammates?

Battle Interlink modes can feature AI-controlled teammates, including Hollow Battle Interlink and Pathfinder challenge rematches.

Sept 2026

In Hollow Battle Interlink, the game assigns AI partners to fill open spots so you can clear encounters without queuing for human players. This applies to Pathfinder challenge rematches as well, letting you replay encounters against human creature handlers alongside automated support.

Having an ally on the field directly affects survival because enemies use a focused aggro system. Opponents concentrate their attacks on whichever Pathfinder currently holds aggro instead of spreading damage across the party, meaning a partner can absorb pressure while you reposition. When someone falls, downed players continuously lose health over time until they are revived or fully defeated, but they can crawl toward allies to be brought back into the fight.

Cooperative battle rules still dictate your squad size. Each player can bring only two Aniimo into combat, and the game automatically selects them from your first two roster slots. Setting your roster order before queuing ensures you enter the encounter with the exact pair you want on the field.
