Can Pathfinders attack in combat?
Pathfinders actively fight alongside Aniimo in real time, supporting them with attacks and gadgets.
◇verified at launch · Sept 2026
In Command mode, you stay directly on the field while your Aniimo fights automatically. You can issue tactical orders, trigger abilities, and deploy gadgets alongside your strikes rather than managing combat from the sidelines. Certain items can also be used during battle to power up your Aniimo.
Fighting in human form gives you access to Active Skills that cannot be used while Twined. That includes a healing ability that restores a targeted Aniimo's HP. For survival, you do not manage a traditional health bar. Pathfinders are protected by a hit-based shield.
Human Attacks and Twine Mode
Twining alters your combat role by physically merging you with your Aniimo. Entering Twine mode replaces your standard mobility, attacks, and human skills with manual control over the creature's movement, combos, and abilities. That grants access to its basic attack, two energy-consuming active skills, and an evasive maneuver.
Taking direct control of an Aniimo's full moveset is generally more offensively powerful than fighting in human form. Staying on foot emphasizes utility, gadget support, and targeted healing, while Twining focuses on direct offensive output.
