Guides › How combat works in Aniimo
Can you fight in human form alongside your Aniimo?
Untwining lets players fight in human form alongside their active Aniimo, supporting it in combat with attacks, skills and issued commands.
In Command Mode, the Pathfinder fights directly while the Aniimo attacks automatically. You contribute your own basic attacks and skills while tracking cooldowns and managing stamina through Prime Energy. Real-time movement keeps your character safe through sprinting, dashing, and dodging.
While on foot, you issue tactical orders to direct your active Aniimo. An active party holds up to four Aniimo, allowing you to manage team switches and coordinate strikes without leaving the field.
Switching to direct control
You can leave human form at any moment by pressing C to twine into your active Aniimo. Entwining replaces your human combat actions with the creature's basic attack, two energy-consuming combat skills, and a creature-specific evasive maneuver.
Direct control is required when you need to aim specific creature abilities manually or use unique movement to evade wide area-of-effect attacks.
