Can players build a homeland base?

Players can build a personal homeland base that functions as both a sanctuary and production facility.

The two halves of that pull in different directions, and the base does both. On the sanctuary side you construct and furnish houses, decorate your spaces and cultivate crops. That is the part you can fuss over for its own sake, and none of it is asking anything of you.

The production side is the reason to keep coming back. The Homeland automates resource gathering and production, so the base generates materials while your attention is elsewhere. Setting it up well early means you are not hand-collecting the same things later.

Aniimo as your workforce

Aniimo you collect can be housed at the Homeland and assigned to farm resources, which is what turns the place from decoration into output. They also assist with general tasks around the base, and they work as laborers in the RV factory.

The catch is upkeep. Homeland workers have to be fed to maintain work efficiency, so the automation is not free. A base left alone is a base with hungry workers producing less than it should. Build feeding into your routine before you scale up the number of Aniimo on the payroll.
