Guides › How to burn vines and reach hidden nests in Aniimo
Can Twining let you climb and fly?
Twining with a flying or climbing Aniimo allows players to climb cliffs and fly vertically.
Vertical movement options depend entirely on the active species merged outside combat.
Each Aniimo provides its own distinct physical traversal ability while twined, meaning you do not automatically gain wall climbing or flight across every form. Reaching high terrain requires keeping a partner with the correct movement mechanics in your party.
Different creatures provide different vertical tools. Celestis can both climb vertical walls and fly or glide. Other Aniimo rely on specialized mobility skills to reach elevated ground. Nimbi uses Puff Up to jump higher and perform a single horizontal dash in mid-air. Pawney uses Hookshot, stretching an arm toward the centre of the view to pull you directly to a wall or an enemy.
These vertical abilities bypass environmental obstacles to open up otherwise inaccessible areas. Certain wild eggs sit in high nests across the world that can only be reached by twining with an Aniimo whose pathfinding ability, such as flight or climbing, overcomes the terrain.
