Guides › Catching duplicate Aniimo: potential rolls and rewards
Do individual Aniimo have random stats?
Every Aniimo, wild spawns included, has its own individual traits, abilities, qualities, personality type and randomly generated stat values.
Two Aniimo of the same species differ in stat distribution, potential, and traits. Even two catches that share a Perfect grade will not have identical stat profiles. Each creature rolls distinct personality traits alongside individual quality and ability values at the moment of capture.
Innate potential is fixed upon capture, establishing baseline attributes and the ceiling for future growth. Aniimo with higher potential ratings receive larger attribute increases when leveling up, giving them superior combat performance over lower tiers. Acquired potential can be trained later to raise those attributes further.
Managing Duplicates and Stat Rolls
Catching duplicates of the same species is standard practice because innate potential cannot be rerolled. Players routinely compare catches to check personality traits, regional variants, Prismana forms, and Attribute Ranks across the Common, Good, Elite, and Perfect tiers.
Always check a creature for Alpha status, weather forms, or homestead split-evolution requirements before releasing it at the research console. You can star or lock an Aniimo to secure it against accidental release. Batch releasing protects shiny and Sparkling catches automatically, but it will discard special forms and split evolutions if you do not review your storage first.
