How do you get a free Ferocious Fang?
A free Ferocious Fang held item is given to players, obtained with the starter or, in a golden version, from the daily login bonus.
You get a legendary held item at the very start, with no grind or spend needed to unlock it. Ferocious Fang is general-purpose and raises attack damage, so it fits any attack-oriented DPS Aniimo rather than one specific creature.
The golden Ferocious Fang is a separate copy that comes from the daily login bonus. You do not have to do anything beyond logging in to collect it.
## Choosing who carries it
Because the Fang arrives so early, the temptation is to put it on whatever you are using that first hour and start upgrading. Be careful with that. Feeding an already-upgraded held item into another as enhancement material loses about 20% of the upgrade efficiency, so upgrading the Fang on the wrong Aniimo and moving the resources later wastes them.
The payoff for committing is real. Upgrading a held item to its maximum attaches a contract that boosts the signature core skill. Alpha Aniimo caught in the overworld already have an enhanced Core Skill by default, so on an Alpha that contract adds less. The Fang's attack damage bonus still applies either way.
