Guides › Blazen: Lightning Breaker, Prismana Form and Bolty
How does Blazen enter overcharge?
Blazen enters an overcharged state through its Power Sustain passive after landing six critical hits with skills.
The hits that count are critical hits landed with skills, so overcharge comes from skill usage rather than standing in a fight. Power Sustain is a passive, which means there is nothing to activate: land the sixth skill crit and the overcharge phase starts on its own.
That matters because Blazen's raw attack is low. It carries less Might than Helion, so it does not win fights on damage alone. Its skills, Lightning Claw and Lightning Cross among them, deal 150% break, and those same skills are what build toward overcharge. Using them often does both jobs at once.
Getting a Blazen, including Prismana Blazen
Electric Aniimo stay out of reach for a long stretch of early progression and open up around the level 40 area, so overcharge is not something you will see early. Blazen spawns in Blitzwood and can be caught directly there, and its Prismana form is also obtainable in the Blitzwood region.
The other route is Bolty, which appears in large groups in Blitzwood and southeast of the Turbo teleport in Nimbus Field. Bolty evolves into Blazen, and that evolution involves a step at the Blitz Tree in Blitz Wood, standing beneath or on the tree, where you fight the Alpha Blazen.
Outside combat, Blazen brings level 3 Artisanship, Lightning and Climbing as home abilities.
