Blazen: Lightning Breaker, Prismana Form and Bolty
Lightning Claw and Lightning Cross both deal 150% break. Here is what that buys a Lightning team, where Prismana Blazen spawns, and how Bolty fits in.
The short version
- Blazen is a Break-role Aniimo built around Lightning, and its job is breaking enemy shields rather than dealing the most damage.
- Blazen's attacks, including Lightning Claw and Lightning Cross, deal 150% break.
- Blazen has a relatively low attack stat, with less Might than Helion, so pair it with a damage dealer.
- Prismana Blazen spawns in Blitz Wood, south of its Bloom location, and its Dark element makes it Dark and Electric.
- Bolty evolves into Blazen, which can also be caught directly, but Electric-type Aniimo only become obtainable around the level 40 area.
Blazen is a breaker. It is a Break-role Aniimo built around Lightning, and it exists to crack enemy shields so the rest of your team can do the damage.
That makes it a specialist, not an all-rounder. Its break numbers are strong and its attack stat is not, and knowing which half of that you are paying for decides whether Blazen earns a slot.
This page covers what its attacks do, why its damage is modest, how its Prismana form changes its typing, and where Bolty and the level 40 area come into getting one.

What Blazen does in a fight: break

If you searched "what is break in aniimo", the short version for this creature is simple: Blazen specializes in breaking enemy shields. That is the whole role, and Blazen is built for it.
The numbers back it up. Blazen's attacks, including Lightning Claw and Lightning Cross, deal 150% break. You are not picking one special move to get that value; it runs through its kit. On a Lightning team, that makes Blazen the member who opens an enemy up.

Low attack, so bring a hitter
The catch is damage. Blazen has a relatively low attack stat, with less Might than Helion. Its 150% break tells you how fast a shield comes down, not how hard Blazen hits once it is down.
Plan around that. Blazen breaks; something else on your team finishes. Treat it as the shield breaker in a Lightning lineup rather than its main source of damage, and it does exactly what it was built for.
Prismana Blazen in Blitz Wood
Prismana Blazen spawns in Blitz Wood, which lies south of its Bloom location. If you know where regular Blazen blooms, head south.
The Prismana form is more than a recolour. It adds the Dark element, making it Dark and Electric. That second element is the reason to hunt it if you want Blazen's break pressure with Dark typing on top.
Bolty evolution and when you can get one

Bolty evolves into Blazen. You do not have to raise one, though, because Blazen can also be caught directly.
Either way, you will be waiting a while. Electric-type Aniimo are unavailable for a long stretch of early progression and become obtainable around the level 40 area. Do not build an early team that depends on a Lightning breaker; Blazen arrives later, and Bolty with it.

Blazen at home
Blazen is useful outside fights too. Its home abilities are level 3 Artisanship, Lightning and Climbing. Even if its low attack keeps it off your main team for some fights, those abilities give it a job at home.
Where to start
Bring Blazen to a Lightning team when shields are the problem, and pair it with a stronger damage dealer, because its attack stat is low. Expect it once you reach the level 40 area, either by evolving Bolty or by catching one directly. If you want Dark typing as well, go south of its Bloom location to Blitz Wood for the Prismana form.
