How does Command mode work?
In Command mode, the Pathfinder remains on the field directing the Aniimo, issuing abilities and tactical orders while the Aniimo fight automatically.
◇Sept 2026
Staying in human form keeps you active as a combatant rather than a passive observer. Your Aniimo battles autonomously, handling the frontline fighting while following your tactical instructions and ability triggers. You fight directly alongside the companion in real time, contributing your own attacks, deploying gadgets, and applying effects to enemies.
Command mode allows full access to the Pathfinder's dedicated human Active Skills, which can only be activated while not Twined. These include a healing ability that targets an Aniimo to restore its HP. You can also deploy specific consumable items during combat to power up your creature.
Defenses and Twine Mode
Pathfinders do not share creature health pools or manage traditional health bars. Your human character is protected by a hit-based shield.
Command mode is one half of Aniimo's combat loop. If an encounter demands direct control, you can switch to Twine mode. Twining fuses the Pathfinder into the Aniimo, replacing your standard mobility, gadgets, and human active skills with direct manual control over the creature. Twining generally offers greater offensive power, giving you manual execution of the Aniimo's basic attack, two energy-consuming active skills, and an evasive maneuver.
