How does Grizbo's rage work?

Grizbo utilizes rage mechanics, gaining increased attack speed, damage, and resource recovery as rage increases.

The three bonuses scale together as rage climbs, so Grizbo is a character whose good moments have to be built up to rather than opened with. Early in a fight you are playing a slower, weaker version of him. The payoff sits at the top of the bar, which means the way you sequence a fight matters more than it does on an Aniimo whose numbers are flat from the first hit.

The EP recovery rate is the part people tend to undervalue. Faster attacks and bigger hits are obvious, but resource recovery is what lets the other two keep running. Abilities that drain energy continuously exist in this game and simply stop when the bar empties. Lightning Blade Storm is the clearest example: it dashes to a target and keeps slashing until the energy runs out. An Aniimo recovering EP faster gets more out of that kind of ability, and Grizbo only recovers faster while his rage is up.

Two other systems sit on top of the damage number. Elements have advantages and disadvantages against each other, and those matchups significantly affect combat performance, so rage-boosted damage into a bad matchup is still bad damage. Carried items can be slotted with runes to amplify their effects, which is the other lever on the same number. In Command mode you are not the one landing hits at all: the Pathfinder stays on the field issuing abilities and tactical orders while the Aniimo fight automatically, so how the bar behaves there is worth watching rather than assuming.

Not settled: The scaling itself is not pinned down: how rage is generated, whether it climbs in steps or smoothly, and how much attack speed a full bar is actually worth are all still open.
