Guides › Aniimo combat roles: shared energy, presets and rules
How does Command mode work?
In Command mode, the Pathfinder remains on the field directing the Aniimo, issuing abilities and tactical orders while the Aniimo fight automatically.
You fight in human form, using attacks, skills, and effects alongside the creature.
Combat runs in real time, requiring you to handle active movement while directing your companion. Sprinting, dashing, and dodging all consume Prime Energy, which serves as your stamina system.
Your companion attacks autonomously while you trigger its abilities. Each Aniimo equips up to two regular combat skills and an ultimate attack, all governed by cooldowns. You can also switch between up to four Aniimo in your active party during an encounter, while keeping any extra creatures in the box system.
Switching to direct control
Pressing C initiates twining, shifting you out of human form to control the Aniimo directly. This replaces your commands with the creature's basic attack, two energy-consuming active skills, and its specific evasive maneuver, allowing you to aim abilities manually.
