How long do purple eggs take to hatch?
The incubation time for purple eggs is unsettled: it is given as both a fixed 3 hours and a range of 2 to 3 hours.
This one is not settled.
Both versions are shown because the disagreement is itself information — usually it means the mechanic changed between beta builds.
Incubation timers continue counting down while you are logged out or offline. You can place the egg into a Hatchinator at the Outpost, your camp RV area, your homestead, or the central city and leave it to run.
Hatching can yield duplicate Aniimo alongside new usable roster additions. Golden eggs sit above purple eggs at 5 hours of incubation, but purple eggs can be finished much faster through standard game mechanics.
Reducing incubation time
Placing or petting an egg drops 10 minutes off the clock immediately. Friends visiting your Homeland can use Caress on an egg in the Hatchinator to take off another 10 minutes each time, up to a cap of 20 uses shown on the interactive 20/20 counter.
Egg hatching can also be sped up with real money, and the monthly pass cuts hatch time by two hours. Active egg acceleration events shorten incubation windows further, causing certain eggs to hatch instantly.
