How many 50th Expedition (Polaris) badges exist?
Only five copies of the expedition team's 50th Expedition badge, also called the Polaris badge, exist across Astra.
These badges are entirely separate from Astra's regional collection badges. They do not come from completing area catch milestones or advancing your Pathfinder rank.
Both the 50th Expedition title and the Polaris name refer to the same expedition team items. Any objective referencing either label draws from that single pool of five across Astra.
