Homeland RV expeditions: dispatches, eggs and rewards

Send a Prismana Aniimo out in the RV and the egg it brings back can hatch another Prismana. Here's how trip length, family matching and inheritance work.

The short version

  1. RV expeditions run for 6, 12 or 24 hours, and the longer trips raise the chance of an egg coming home.
  2. An egg from a trip always matches the family or evolution line of the Aniimo you sent, so you choose the egg by choosing the traveller.
  3. Trip eggs can inherit the parent's form and mutations, which is how you get Prismana eggs: send a Prismana and the odds of a Prismana egg go up.
  4. Sparkling Aniimo work the same way and can return eggs of the same Sparkling variant.
  5. No trip guarantees an egg, but every trip can still bring back materials and held items, and the leader can gain a random potential stat.

Homeland RV expeditions are the quiet way to farm eggs. You send an Aniimo out, you get on with the game, and some of the time it comes back carrying an egg. Nothing about it needs your attention while it runs.

What makes it worth planning around is control. The egg is not random: it belongs to the family of the Aniimo you sent. And it can carry over that Aniimo's form and mutations, which turns the RV into a slow, steady source of Prismana eggs.

This page covers trip lengths, what the eggs can be, and how to stack the odds toward a Prismana. For every other way to get eggs, see the main guide on eggs from expeditions, quests and events.

Starting an RV trip and what comes back

Trips start from the RV park in your Homeland (you will also see it called the Homestead RV). From there you send the travel spirit out to gather resources, with an Aniimo in the dispatch loadout.

You can dispatch for 6, 12 or 24 hours. Six hours is the standard trip, and it is already long enough to get an egg back.

Eggs are the headline, but they are not the only reward. Aniimo on RV trips and automated dispatches return with trip materials, including baseline materials and held items. The leader of the loadout can also gain +1 random potential stat from the investigation. So a trip that brings back no egg still pays something.

The RV park is part of Homeland production, so if it stops producing, the cause is usually the same as for the rest of your Homeland: see the guide on workers, food and seeds.

Trip length and egg odds

An Aniimo trip does not always return an egg. That is the first thing to accept. The second is that you can push the odds.

Longer expeditions increase the chance of an Aniimo coming back with an egg. The longer it stays out, the more likely it is to return with an egg of its own family. A six-hour trip can do it; a 12 or 24 hour trip simply makes it more likely.

The practical choice depends on how often you play. If you check in several times a day, short trips mean more rolls. If you log in once before bed, a 24 hour dispatch is the one that makes use of the time you are away.

RV expedition durations
  1. 6 hoursThe shortest trip. Enough to get an egg back, but an egg is not guaranteed.
  2. 12 hoursLonger than a 6 hour trip, so a better chance of an egg.
  3. 24 hoursThe longest trip and the best chance of returning with an egg.

Which eggs a trip can bring back

Eggs from expeditions always match the family or evolution line of the Aniimo you deployed. The egg is tied to the traveller and hatches into a member of the same family. Send the creature whose line you want more of; that is the whole selection system.

The egg can be one of that Aniimo's own species. It can also be a Mysterious Egg.

This makes RV trips a real farming route for specific creatures rather than a lottery. Fulmintis, for one, can be obtained from eggs, and farming RV trips is one of the ways to do it.

How to get Prismana eggs in Aniimo

This is the reason most players care about the RV. Eggs from expeditions have a chance to inherit the form and mutations of the parent Aniimo, and that includes the Prismana form. RV expeditions can passively reward Prismon eggs, and Homestead RV dispatches can return eggs with the Prismana trait.

The parent matters. Sending a Prismana Aniimo raises the chance of a Prismana egg. Submitting a Prismana at the RV park gives an egg that may hatch a Prismana, and over time those trips can yield another Prismana of the same species. Once you own one Prismana, the RV becomes the way to farm more of it.

Sparkling creatures follow the same rule. Trip eggs can inherit sparkling mutations, and a Sparkling Aniimo sent out has a chance to return an egg of the same variant.

Keep the word "chance" in mind throughout. Inheritance is not guaranteed, and neither is the egg itself. Longer trips help with the egg; a Prismana or Sparkling parent helps with what is inside it.

The 50th Expedition badge

Expeditions also feed into the expedition team's badges. The 50th Expedition badge, also called the Polaris badge, is about as rare as anything in the game gets: only five copies exist across Astra.

Where to start

Pick the Aniimo whose family you want, use a Prismana or Sparkling one if you have it, and send it on the longest trip that fits your schedule. Expect some trips to come back without an egg. The materials and the leader's stat roll mean none of them are wasted.
