Guides › Prismana and Sparkling Aniimo: Spawns and Nurturing
What rare Aniimo variants exist?
Aniimo can appear in rare variant forms, including Prismana, sparkling, alpha and Umbral variants.
Open-world Umbral spawns have a base encounter chance of approximately 1 in 3,000.
These variants carry dark purple and black coloration with a misty, cloud-like Darkler appearance, and they show a distinct purple glow inside the monster box. Both basic and fully evolved creatures can be encountered directly in the wild in Umbral form. Radiant Aniimo also spawn naturally at low random rates while roaming the world.
Environmental patterns determine where other variants appear. Habitats, the day-night cycle, and weather govern spawns, with thunderstorms triggering special variant appearances. Regional forms tied to local weather and geography can add or change an Aniimo's element typing. You can track these conditions up to 24 hours in advance using the map weather forecast.
Increasing Variant Encounters
The Wind Chaser Badge increases open-world sparkling and Umbral spawn rates by 50%.
Upgrading a regional Branch unlocks ecosystem nurturing, which offers another method for variant hunting. Wild surges triggered by nurturing can spawn Umbra Aniimo. Nurture offerings also feature an increased chance of yielding Sparkling targets, while the base chance to draw out a Prismana variant remains a flat rate across all attempts.
Not settled: Whether Umbral Aniimo always spawn with perfect potential regardless of level, form, or capture device is not settled, as they have also been observed spawning with standard normal, elite, or perfect grades.
