What do Sparkling Cubes do in Aniimo?

The Sparkling Cube is a rare capture device in Aniimo that turns any wild Aniimo it catches into a Sparkling (shiny) variant, changing its appearance.

A Sparkling Cube secures a 100% capture rate on any wild creature.

Also known as a Sparkling Pod, Twinkle Cube, or Shiny Cube, the device acts as an upgraded tier of the Aniipod Ultra. Throwing one captures any wild target immediately, including spawned Prismana and Alpha bosses that normally resist standard pods. Missed throws return to you automatically, so you do not lose the item if an aim misses.

Beyond securing the catch, the cube applies the sparkling effect to alter the creature's appearance into a shiny variant.

Egg Incubation and Mutations

Hatching an egg requires selecting a pod before incubation begins. Using a Sparkling Cube on a non-Umbral egg gives a 1% chance to yield a dazzling sparkling style.

When applied to a Prismana egg, the Sparkling Cube can trigger a shadow sparkling mutation. Using one on an Alpha egg, or on a defeated wild Alpha, turns the creature into a Perfect Sparkling Alpha.

Not settled: Whether the cube always guarantees the sparkling trait and Perfect potential is not settled, as some mechanics treat it as a guaranteed stat upgrade while others describe it as an increased catch chance. Its exact role with Prismana is also unsettled, appearing both as the item required to capture wild Prismana and as an item applied to Prismana already caught.
