Guides › Aniimo early journey: starters, traversal and Egg Heist
What do you lose when dying in Egg Heist?
Dying in Egg Heist causes the loss of all unslotted loot, equipped backpacks, and non-safe pocket inventory items.
At lower ranks, beginner protection saves your backpack and loot for three matches. Outside that protection, dying or failing to extract strips away all carried inventory and unprotected gear.
Death costs you every currently equipped item, including attachments and the backpack itself. All loot gathered during the run is lost, and losing the backpack forfeits every item packed inside it.
Safe pockets and keys
Items placed inside the safe pocket are the only carried items you keep on death. Any unslotted loot drops, along with every inventory item left outside the safe pocket.
This matters when preparing entry keys. Keys must be placed in your character inventory or backpack before entering Egg Heist to be used. Because unslotted inventory and equipped backpacks are lost on death, carried keys are lost if you fail to extract.
