How do you drop an egg in Egg Heist?

Untwining restores your normal combat abilities when rival squads ambush you.

Carrying the central giant egg transforms you into it, which removes all your combat actions and leaves you dependent on your teammates for protection while rolling toward the escape boat. Dropping the egg by untwining lets you fight wild creatures and enemy players directly instead of remaining a defenseless target.

Because setting the egg down does not forfeit it, you can leave it on the ground during an encounter and twine with it again once the area is clear. You can then resume rolling toward extraction, where teammates share all extracted eggs through their in-game mailbox after the match.
