Guides › Carried items: equipping, upgrading and what they give
What held item should Turbo use?
Turbo's held item is unsettled: the Heritage Amulet is given as suiting it because its ability scales off HP, the Lightning Needle is also given as the recommended choice, and Turbo is also said to need no held item in a support role.
This one is not settled.
Both versions are shown because the disagreement is itself information — usually it means the mechanic changed between beta builds.
Turbo earns its slot through its kit rather than its gear, so its held item can wait.
Turbo is a pure Support-role Aniimo. Its burst gives the party a flat damage increase. After it activates Shrouded in Mist, its Nimbus Burst raises party break efficiency by 30%. Its ultimate heals by dropping ground collectibles that each restore 6% HP and can add up to over 40% of an ally's health. None of that depends on what Turbo is holding.
If you have a spare Lightning Needle, put it on Turbo, because it is the recommended pick. If you don't, you lose nothing that matters to the support job, so spend your better items on whoever deals the damage. The burst's damage boost also does not stack with other effects, so a second source of the same kind of buff in the party adds nothing on top of it.
Where Turbo goes in a team
Turbo is one of the top support Aniimo, alongside Besauce, and turns up in a lot of teams. In the Irisalis team it needs no specific enhancement or held item. The rotation opens with Turbo, and its four basic attacks apply its damage and break buff before everyone else goes in.
In the recommended dark team, Turbo is the support beside Pawney as main DPS, Infal Lupa for break and Glacy as healer.
You can catch Turbo early. It lives in the Nimbus Fields, an early zone near the first outpost, so it can join your team long before you have held items worth arguing over.
Not settled: How much a Lightning Needle actually adds to Turbo's support output is not settled. It is the recommended item, but Turbo does its job without one.
