The short version

  1. Turbo lives in Nimbus Fields, an early zone near the first outpost, and you can catch it directly by fighting it.
  2. Prismana Turbo spawns in Nimbus Fields only during Prismana weather, at its designated flower teleporter location.
  3. Turbo's abilities deal flat values that ignore its stats, so defensive stats are the only investment that does anything.
  4. The best held item for Turbo is not settled: Heritage Amulet and Lightning Needle are both in contention, and in a support role it may not need one at all.
  5. Turbo is a pure Support Aniimo that boosts break, and it sits with Besauce among the top supports in the game.

Turbo is one of the first Aniimo most players pick up, and one of the few early catches that stays useful. It is a pure support. It does not hit hard and it is not supposed to. Its job is to buff your team's damage and break, and it does that well enough to turn up in a lot of teams.

That makes it cheap to own and cheap to build. You can catch it early, you only need to raise a narrow set of stats, and in at least one popular team it needs no held item or enhancement at all.

This page covers where to find Turbo and Prismana Turbo, what to spend on it, the held item question, and the teams it slots into.

Where to catch Turbo

Turbo is found in Nimbus Fields, an early zone near the first outpost. It is easy to obtain. You catch it directly by fighting it, with no special conditions attached to the regular form.

The story also hands you one. Early on, at the start of the Alpha Turbo fight, you are given an Annipod Ultra that guarantees the capture. So even if you skip the wild one, you will not leave the early game without a Turbo.

Turbo is a pure Support Aniimo found in Nimbus Fields, an early zone near the first outpost.

Where to find Prismana Turbo

Prismana Turbo is in the same zone, Nimbus Fields, but it only spawns during Prismana weather conditions. When that weather is up, go to its designated flower teleporter location and you can acquire it there.

If you are in Nimbus Fields and Prismana Turbo is nowhere to be seen, check the weather first. Outside Prismana conditions it does not spawn, and waiting at the teleporter in clear weather gets you nothing.

What Turbo does in a team

Turbo is a pure Support-role Aniimo. It is one of the top supports in the game alongside Besauce, and it is a common pick across many teams for that reason.

Its value is break. Turbo boosts break, the same job Luminel does with a skill that raises break efficiency to 24. In practice Turbo opens a fight, applies its damage and break buff, and hands over to the Aniimo that actually deals the damage.

The catch is its core skill. It has an 18-second cooldown, which is long enough that if you switch out and want to reuse it, you will be waiting.

What to invest in

Turbo's abilities deal flat values. They do not scale with its stats, so pouring resources into its attack does nothing for its damage or its buff.

That leaves defensive stats as the only useful investment. Build Turbo to stay alive while it does its job, and spend everything else on the damage dealers it supports. In the Irisalis team it needs no specific enhancement at all, which makes it one of the cheapest slots you will ever fill.

Best held item for Turbo

This one is unsettled, and you should treat it that way.

The Heritage Amulet is one option, on the reasoning that Turbo's ability scales off HP, which fits the amulet. The Lightning Needle is the other, and it is also put forward as the recommended choice. And in a support role, Turbo is said to need no held item at all.

What is clear is the Irisalis team: there, Turbo needs no held item. If you are running it elsewhere and have a spare Heritage Amulet or Lightning Needle, either is a reasonable choice. If you have neither, you are not crippling it by leaving the slot empty, so put your best items on your damage dealers first.

Teams that use Turbo

Two teams lean on Turbo, and both have their own guides on this site, so here is just where Turbo fits.

In the Irisalis grass team, the rotation opens with Turbo. Its four basic attacks apply its damage and break buff before you switch. Because of that 18-second cooldown, reusing its core skill after switching to Infergon means waiting, so plan the rotation around one clean opener rather than cycling back early.

In the recommended dark team, Pawney is the main DPS, Infal Lupa handles break, Glacy heals and Turbo is the support.

Where to start

Catch Turbo in Nimbus Fields early, or take the guaranteed one from the Alpha Turbo fight. Come back during Prismana weather for Prismana Turbo at the flower teleporter. Raise only its defensive stats, leave the held item for last, and open your rotation with it.
