GuidesHow to catch wild Aniimo

What is the capture rate of an Ultra Pod?

Ultra Pods have a 100% guaranteed capture rate on Aniimo, including Alpha Aniimo.

Throwing one removes the need to manipulate battle conditions before attempting a catch. Standard wild encounters otherwise rely on weakening the target, depleting its Break gauge to inflict a stun, or setting your party creatures to catch stance so they avoid knocking the wild Aniimo out.

Alpha Aniimo bosses cannot be captured mid-fight. You have to battle and defeat them first, and their post-battle capture rates are normally low. Throwing an Ultra Pod at a defeated Alpha completely bypasses that low catch rate.

Acquiring Higher-Tier Pods

Aniipods are consumable, throwable items. You can acquire higher-tier pods by spending Glimmer, or trade up at a merchant by converting lower-tier pods at a two-to-one exchange ratio.

Standard Aniipods can be farmed infinitely, and basic pods can be crafted through Homeland systems using mined shells. Facilities staffed by assigned Aniimo continue producing Aniipods over time while you are offline, providing stock you can trade upward at merchants.
