What is the maximum party size for co-op in Aniimo?

Cooperative multiplayer parties in Aniimo support up to four players.

Joining another player's world requires an invite from that host. The system supports cross-platform play between platforms such as PlayStation 5 and Xbox, though playing online on consoles may require a paid platform subscription.

Grouping up changes how you manage your team. In cooperative play, each player is limited to bringing two Aniimo into battle. The game selects these automatically from your first two roster slots, so you need to arrange your lineup before joining a session.

Shared Activities and Dungeons

A full group can explore the open world together, trade Aniimo, and coordinate to take down world bosses and Alpha Aniimo encounters. Party members can also assist one another when capturing wild Aniimo in the field.

Instanced content includes cooperative Sanctums and Shrines, which feature switch puzzles that require coordination. Players can activate overhead switches to lower moving platforms for teammates below. Opening a treasure chest inside a cooperative Sanctum grants rewards to every member of the group.

Activity Restrictions

The four-player party cap applies to open-world exploration and general cooperative challenges, but specific modes enforce smaller limits. The cooperative PvE version of Operation: Egg Heist limits teams to two players or solo play. Competitive Egg Heist formats use three-player squads instead.

Not settled: The exact party structure for Operation: Egg Heist remains unsettled across beta builds, with formats varying between two-player cooperative runs and three-player competitive squads.
