Guides › How Evolution Works: Lumin, Gamma and Nova

What is the second evolution stage called?

The name of an Aniimo's second, intermediate evolutionary stage is unsettled: it is called both the Gamma form and the Nova stage.

This one is not settled.

Both versions are shown because the disagreement is itself information — usually it means the mechanic changed between beta builds.

Evolution lines run across three tiers, placing Gamma between Lumin and Nova.

The initial tier is the Lumin stage, also written as Lumen or Luminous. This is an Aniimo's first and lowest evolutionary tier, functioning as its baby form. A creature leaves this tier once it evolves into Gamma.

Past this middle step lies Nova. Nova is the third and currently final evolutionary stage of an Aniimo evolution line, representing its fully evolved state. For branching creature evolution, the Companion Handbook provides exclusive evolution materials used along those paths.
