What room types are in a Holo Battle Sim run?
Holo Battle Sim rounds can be combat zones, elite battles, risk events, wealth events or rest areas.
Every run ends in a final boss, so each room before it is a chance to get stronger first. A run is a series of consecutive rounds of bosses, and the rogue-lite power-ups you collect along the way, such as Defense, Healing, Shield and Damage Reduction buffs, are what carry you into that last fight.
Combat zones are the standard fights. Elite battles are the harder ones. Rest areas are the break between them. Risk events and wealth events are the two kinds of event room, and they are listed separately. Bosses gain Enrage buffs as their timer runs down and hit harder the longer a fight drags on, so rest areas and defensive buffs matter more than they first look.
The mode is solo only. You pick every room yourself, with no partner to cover a bad choice.
How Hollow Battle Ascent differs
Hollow Battle Ascent uses a shorter list: combat zones, events and rest areas. It runs 10 rounds. It has no separate elite battle rounds, and its events are not split into risk and wealth types.
